Updates from ComEd Regarding High Heat and Storm Potential This Week

221

An update from ComEd regarding this week's high heat and storm potential:

Forecasts call for wind gusts in excess of 60 mph with the potential storm and high heat through Thursday. ComEd is increasing crew staffing, proactively opening its Emergency Operations Center and readying equipment to respond quickly if power outages occur. We will continue to closely monitor the system to address outages as quickly and as safely as possible. ComEd reminds customers, especially those who may be vulnerable to extended periods of heat, to seek relief from the heat in places like schools, libraries, theaters and malls. Anyone experiencing a power outage or sees a downed or damaged power line is urged to call ComEd immediately at 1-800-EDISON-1 (1-800-334-7661), text OUT to 2-6-6-3-3 or access ComEd.com.
