City of Joliet Finance Committee met June 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

ROLL CALL

ALSO PRESENT: Director of Finance James Ghedotte and Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson.

Present Pat Mudron, Sherri Reardon and Cesar Guerrero

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made by Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Sherri Reardon, to approve the minutes from the May 2021 Finance Committee Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Mudron, Reardon and Guerrero

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

NOTE: There is a new temporary procedure for public speaking. Details can be found on the Joliet.gov “Public Comments” web page.

This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Finance Committee do not generally respond to public comments. Please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Finance Committee shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT

Director of Finance James Ghedotte briefly reviewed the Monthly Financial Report. Discussion held.

PERSONNEL SUMMARY

Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson briefly reviewed the Personnel Summary. Brief discussion held.

TRAVEL EXPENSE REPORT

Mr. Ghedotte briefly reviewed the Travel Report.

INVOICES PAID REPORT

Mr. Ghedotte briefly reported on the Invoices Paid Report. Brief discussion held. TMP-1874

NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION

Mr. Ghedotte reviewed the status of the American Rescue Plan fund. Discussion held. Committee to recommend a Special Council Meeting for full Council to discuss further.
