The City Manager announced Eva-Marie Tropper as the new Director of Community Development.

Peggy Grahndal spoke regard the State of Illinois Senate's passage of HB1711 Humane Pet Store bill.
Jerry Hervey spoke regarding slumlords.

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Clement spoke in support of Joliet Police Officers. Mayor O'Dekirk also spoke regarding his support and the residents' support of the police. Councilwoman Gavin and Councilman Guerrero also expressed their support of police officers.
Councilman Hug spoke in favor of the police and thanked veterans for their service in honor of Memorial Day.
Councilman Morris thanked Jim Torri for taking on the responsibilities of the Director of Community Development during the replacement search.
Councilman Mudron highlighted the vaccination volunteers and thanked the Chicago White Sox for their support of these individuals by giving them free tickets. He also welcomed Eva-Marie and thanked Jim Torri.
Councilwoman Quillman spoke in support of the police department and the passage of the Illinois Senate Bill to protect puppies.
Mayor O'Dekirk highlighted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Valor Nutrition and the Joliet Fire Department Memorial Service at St. John's Church. He thanked veterans and their families for the service and sacrifice. He also thanked his mother-in-law and wished her a belated Happy Mother's Day and congratulated his step-daughter Madison Palacios on her eight-grade graduation and winning of the President's Award at St. Paul's.
