Village of Shorewood recently issued the following announcement.
Positive West Nile Virus Test Detected in Shorewood
The Village of Shorewood was notified by the Will County Health Department that a positive test for West Nile Virus was detected in one of the traps they collected over the weekend. Positive results were also found in surrounding communities such as Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Joliet, and Lockport.
In an effort to address the situation our Mosquito Abatement Contractor, Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc. will be scheduling an additional spray to impact adult mosquitos as well as developing larvae over the next 3-5 nights.
