1. Approval of Resolution No. 21-13 Authorizing the Acquisition of Parcels JCX0A1, A2 and A3 in the Jackson Creek Greenway

Chief Operating Officer Schultz discussed the 206-acre parcel located in Manhattan Township. The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning and the Will County Stormwater Management Planning Committee prepared a Jackson Creek Watershed plan. Together they recommended the watershed for a blend of conservation and development. The plan would protect a portion of Jackson Creek and its associated floodplain within a watershed that is experiencing development pressures.

2. Approval of Resolution No. 21-14 Authorizing Staff to Initiate Negotiations for Nine (9) Parcels as part of the 2020-2024 Capital Improvement Program

Chief Operating Officer Schultz discussed that this is the first step in negotiations process. Schultz noted Staff will continue to work on the primary priority list and communicate with the owners of the remaining properties pending Board approval. Schultz stated the nine (9) properties mentioned will be included in the 2020-2024 Capital improvement Program.
