City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.
The City of Wilmington is excited to share that beginning today, all of Wilmington is now in Tier 1 COVID-19 mitigations. For more information, please click the link below from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) https://www.dph.illinois.gov/regionmetrics?regionID=7.
Some highlights of the Tier 1 mitigations are:
• Bars and restaurants are allowed to resume indoor service
• Casinos are allowed to reopen (gaming has informed them
they can open at 8 a.m. tomorrow)
• Meetings up to 25 persons or 25% of room capacity
• Resumption of group recreation activities
Of course, we must continue to take precautions and be mindful of our role in continuing the positive trend. The key to keeping Wilmington open for business is simple: Wear a mask, Wash your hands, Watch your distance.
