Analysis: Lockport pays $2.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Homer Township FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.6 percent of the $1,116,026 the Homer Township FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lockport contributed $765,753 to the fund, which saw a $112,842 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $342,590, or 30.7 percent, in 2018. Another $7,683 came from other unspecified sources.
