Analysis: Lockport pays $4.10 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Northwest Homer FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.4 percent of the $389,140 the Northwest Homer FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.10 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lockport contributed $312,906 to the fund, which saw a $113,627 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $76,235, or 19.6 percent, in 2018.
