City of Crest Hill issued the following announcement on June 17.
The State of Illinois is gathering information regarding the impacts to businesses that experienced physical damage or economic losses due to the recent demonstrations and civil disturbances. This may include damage, theft, or vandalism. It may also be business losses due to the need to close or have reduced hours due to curfews. The intention is to see if sufficient losses exist to receive disaster assistance through the US Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan program.
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has created an online survey to gather information from affected businesses.
