CITY OF JOLIET: Resources You Can Reference In Monitoring Several Evolving Situations

City of Joliet issued the following announcement on June 4.

The City of Joliet has received several comments, messages and phone calls concerning curfew, protests and other matters of concern from our residents. Know that we are hearing you and doing our best to provide you the same level of service you have come expect while monitoring several evolving situations.

Here are some resources you can reference based on topics from over the last week:

City Updates: Follow this page (City of Joliet, Illinois, Government) Joliet Police Department and Joliet Fire Department for official public safety updates.

City Curfew: Put in place on Monday, June 1 until Tuesday, June 9 (unless otherwise announced) the City curfew begins at 10 p.m. each night and ends at 6 a.m. the following morning. Residents are asked to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel while the curfew is in place. You can read more about the curfew and the Local State of Emergency in the following links.

COVID-19: Observe social distancing, wear a face covering and frequent hand washing remain the norm. In Phase 3 of Reopening Illinois, many businesses and services are reopening with safety measures in place. Stay in touch with Joliet businesses via social media, web or phone to learn how they are doing business during this unprecedented time.

Storm Debris: If you have debris from the storm that took place the week of May 25, please leave it on your parkway. The City Roadways Division is making another sweep for pickup over the following week.

All Other Non-Emergency City Requests: All other non-emergency related requests such as overgrown grass violations, street light outages, potholes or other concerns, please submit a GoRequest Ticket (https://tinyurl.com/ya8a3lln) so your request can be submitted to the appropriate department for resolution.
