City of Joliet issued the following announcement on May 21.
All garbage, recycling and yard waste pick up will be one day late the week of Monday, May 25, 2020 due to the Memorial Day holiday. Normal collection will resume the week of June 1, 2020.
City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2020 in observation of Memorial Day. The downtown parking decks will be free of charge and there will be no enforcement of the parking meters on this day.
