Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C Board of Education met March 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

President Martin called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. Roll call: DeFilippis, DeSchaaf, Hitzeman, Marcinkewicz, Trzeciak and Martin were physically present.

Member Briner was absent.

President Martin led the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no requests to speak.

Some Strategic Planning Committee members shared a data presentation describing the current state of the District on student growth/achievement, culture, finance, facilities, and technology.

The Board took a brief dinner recess at 5:40 p.m.

The meeting continued at 6:10 p.m.

DeSchaaf motioned and Marcinkewicz seconded the motion to go into closed session for discussion of 1) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity, and 2) discussion of collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. Roll Call: DeFilippis, DeSchaaf, Hitzeman, Marcinkewicz, Trzeciak, and Martin. All yeas, motion carried.

The Board went into Closed Session at 9:20 p.m.

The Board returned to Open Session at 9:56 p.m.

There were no action items from Closed Session.

DeSchaaf motioned and Marcinkewicz seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. The Board all were in favor of adjourning the meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 10:02 p.m.
