City of Joliet Public Safety Committee met Dec. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Roll Call

PRESENT: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.

ABSENT: Councilman Larry E. Hug.

ALSO PRESENT: Public Assets Supervisor Mike Eulitz, Interim Fire Chief Greg Blaskey, Superintendent David Druzik, Deputy Chief Marc Reid, Deputy Chief Michael Batis.

2. Approval of Minutes - December 3, 2019

Public Safety Committee Minutes - December 3, 2019

Motion to approve the Minutes from December 3, 2019 was made by Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.

Motion seconded by Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman. 

Motion carried by the following vote: 

AYES: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson. 

NAYS: None.

3. Citizens to be Heard on Agenda Items:

None.

4. Request Approval to Purchase One Ambulance for the City of Joliet Fire Department

Interim Fire Chief Greg Blaskey discussed Purchase of one Ambulance for the City of Joliet Fire Department.

Motion to recommend Approval to Purchase One Ambulance for the City of Joliet Fire Department to Full Council was made by Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.

Motion seconded by Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman. 

Motion carried by the following vote: 

AYES: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson. 

NAYS: None.

6. Public Comments:

None.

7. NEW or OLD BUSINESS, not for final action or recommendation

None.

8. Adjournment

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.
