Q3 2019 Recap: Parolees in Joliet convicted of crimes against persons

There were eight offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole in Joliet during the third quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Will County Gazette.

The data shows that seven men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 30. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old woman sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 40-year-old man sentenced in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Ernest D. Morgan. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015 when he was 36 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q3 2019 who were convicted of crimes against persons.
