New Lenox Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
Each year the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to graduating students from the three area high schools, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way West and Providence Catholic. The Scholarship Committee will award selected students with a scholarship in the amount of $1000.
Applications are now available online at www.newlenoxchamber.com under the “About” tab, or at the Chamber office. Completed applications should be returned to the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce office on or before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020. Applications may be submitted in-person or by mail. The information on this form is confidential and will be used only by the Scholarship Committee. A drop box will be available outside the Chamber office for students submitting applications outside of normal office hours.
Qualifications
Students must be graduating seniors enrolled at one of the three high schools located in New Lenox: Lincoln-Way Central High School, Lincoln-Way West High School or Providence Catholic High School.
Students must reside in the Village of New Lenox or New Lenox Township.
Students must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two or four-year college or university.
