City of Joliet Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Sept. 19.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

3.APPROVAL OF MINUTES: APPROVAL August 15, 2019 ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES.

4.CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS: This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Zoning Board of Appeals do not generally respond to public comments. Please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

a.PETITION 2019-24: A series of variations to allow the construction of a new gas station, located at 3401 & 3405 W. Jefferson Street. **PETITION HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN**

7.NEW BUSINESS: PUBLIC HEARING

a.PETITION 2019-28: A Variation to allow a 34’x28’ detached garage that exceeds the footprint of the main structure, located at 708 Algonquin Street.

b.PETITION 2019-29: A Variation to allow an above ground pool in a required corner side yard, reducing setback from 20’ to 7’, located at 2818 Sierra Avenue.

c.PETITION 2019-30: A Variation to allow an off-premise sign advertising M/I Homes sales in Legacy Pointe Subdivision, located at Northwest corner of Theodore Street and Drauden Road.

d.PETITION 2019-31: A Special Use Permit to allow two trucking/trailer parking facilities for unknown users, located at 2951 Mound Road.

e.PETITION 2019-32: A Variation to allow an additional rear facing wall sign for Helzberg Jewelers, located at 2645 Plainfield Road. **PETITION HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN**

f.PETITION 2019-33: A Variation to reduce the required side yard setback in an R-2A (Single-Family Residential) District from 5’ to 0’ to construct a 7’4”x19’ roofed patio, located at 212 Morris Street.
