2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60436?

There were 72 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 60436, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Will County Gazette.

The data shows that 70 men and two women were released in the Joliet zip code. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2018, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Christopher McCallum. He was convicted of homicide in 1998, when he was 19 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
