Wilmington home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Wilmington rose by $56,500 while total sales increased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $141,500 - a 66.5% increase over the $85,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Wilmington in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Wilmington for 2017 was $3,224.59. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,905.80. This marks an increase of 11%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
