Report: Joliet spent $11,750 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Joliet Public Schools District 86 is up 19 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Will County school district spent $9,875 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,750 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 11647 to 11444.

Joliet's spending in 2017-18 was 11.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
