Report: Channahon spent $11,087 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Channahon School District 17 is up 30.6 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Will County school district spent $8,491 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,087 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1359 to 1307.

Channahon's spending in 2017-18 was 16.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
