Report: Homer spent $12,298 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Homer Community Consolidated School District 33C is down 2.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Will County school district spent $12,599 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,298 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3652 to 3800.

Homer's spending in 2017-18 was 7.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
