City of Lockport issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.
Due to the extreme temperatures expected on Wednesday, January 30, City Offices will have limited services and hours available. City Offices are expected to be open from 9 AM to noon on Wednesday; however, some non-essential services may be unavailable during this time.
Anyone who plans to visit City Offices on Wednesday are asked to please contact the City of Lockport at (815) 838-0549 in advance to ensure that your request can be serviced during this time. The City thanks residents and businesses for their understanding.
There will be no interruption in emergency services. Residents should call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency and dispatch / non-emergency police can be reached at (815) 838-2131. Contact WESCOM for public works related emergencies at (815) 267-8300.
The City plans to reopen all City Offices on Thursday, January 31, resuming regular business hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
