City of Joliet issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
Extreme cold is in the forecast for the City of Joliet and Will County for the next several days. Temperatures for the next three days are expected to be in the single digits with wind chill values as low as -25 due to winds gusting as high as 30mph.
The City reminds residents to take precautions to ensure their health, safety and well-being during days of especially low temperatures. A list of warming centers around Will County including Joliet can be found at: https://www.willcountyema.org/warmingcooling.
