Cost of college went up for all students at University of St Francis

Tuition and fees rose 2 percent for 2017-18 at University of St Francis, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $31,470 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $630 more than the $30,840 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 181 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.84 million and 137 students took out student loans totaling more than $904,270.

Including all undergraduates, 1,476 students used grants or scholarships totaling $24.14 million. Another 1,151 took out $9.01 million in federal student loans.
