City of Joliet issued the following announcement on May 24.
All garbage, recycling and yard waste pick-up will be one day late next week due to observation of Memorial Day on Monday, May 28. The normal collection schedule will resume the week of June 4, 2018.
City Hall will also be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018 in observation of Memorial Day.
Downtown parking decks will be available all day for no charge and there will be no enforcement of parking meters on Monday, May 28 as well.
