Analysis: Wilmington pays $11.14 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wilmington Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 89.5 percent of the $95,481 the Wilmington Fpd Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in last year, or $11.14 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wilmington contributed $85,446 to the fund, which saw a $13,932 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $7,664, or 8 percent, in 2016. Another $2,371 came from other unspecified sources.
