Analysis: Joliet pays $4.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to East Joliet Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.4 percent of the $302,522 the East Joliet Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Joliet contributed $246,249 to the fund, which saw a $9,544 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $56,273, or 18.6 percent, in 2016.
