Analysis: Channahon pays $2.88 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Channahon Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.2 percent of the $757,468 the Channahon Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.88 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Channahon contributed $562,298 to the fund, which saw a $78,791 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $195,170, or 25.8 percent, in 2016.
