Analysis: Bolingbrook pays $4.20 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bolingbrook Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81 percent of the $3,877,356 the Bolingbrook Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.20 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bolingbrook contributed $3,140,863 to the fund, which saw a $444,456 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $747,357, or 19.3 percent, in 2016.
