Plainfield North graduate JD Ekowa had 97 passing yards, one touchdown pass, four pass attempts, four completions, four rushing yards and one rush attempt in Minnesota St. Mavericks football's 38-23 win Sept. 16 over the Minn. Duluth Bulldogs.

Ekowa is a 6-1, 205 pound freshman quarterback from Plainfield.
