Joliet is asking for a Christmas gift from the community.
The city is calling on an area resident to donate a tree for the city’s annual holiday display, according to a press release. The gift has become an annual tradition in Joliet.
Anyone wishing to donate may contact the Public Works Department. Trees must be at least 30 feet tall and be quality evergreens.
The selected tree will be removed from the owner’s property at no cost and put on display at Van Buren Street plaza for the duration of the holiday season.
The Joliet Public Works Department can be reached at 815-724-4200.
