U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-IL) will host a Senior Resource Fair for residents of the 14th Congressional District from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 16, according to a press release.
The event at Huntley Park District, 12015 Mill St., will feature representatives from federal agencies and service organizations who will answer questions and assist seniors and their loved ones. Staff from Hultgren's office will also be on hand to discuss federal aid and help with issues regarding Social Security benefits, Medicare and more.
“I invite all seniors in the 14th District to attend my one-stop-shop to get the answers and assistance they need,” Hultgren said in the release. “My staff will be on hand alongside representatives from a variety of governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations. I’m pleased to be able to offer this help for seniors and their families.”

Agencies and organizations in attendance will include the Agency on Aging for Northeastern Illinois, the American Cancer Society, the Census Bureau, the DeKalb County VA Commission, the Edwards Hines Jr. VA Hospital, the Golden Diners Feeding Program, the Greater Elgin Family Care Center, the Illinois attorney general’s office, the Illinois Department of Human Services, the Illinois Department of Revenue, the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Lake County Center for Independent Living.
