The calls in Romeoville included 52 fires - 22 structure fires, 12 vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $1,033,146 in fire loss - or about $19,868 per fire.
The department also received 592 false calls, including 17 malicious calls and 575 other false calls.
The calls resulted in three civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and eight were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Romeoville Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 20 active employees and five retired or inactive employees, was $24,217 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $466 for every fire in 2016.
