The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin made the North Central College men's track and field team a double winner of its weekly awards, according to NCC's website on April 18.
Dylan Kuipers, a junior pole vaulter for the Cardinals, earned the league's Field Athlete of the Week, with NCC's 4x400-meter relay team claimed the Track Athlete of the Week Award for their efforts at at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational on April 15 in Lisle, Illinois.
The Cardinals' relay team — Maceo Findlay, Zach Kirby, Ben Nordman and Peyton Piron — posted the best time in NCAA Division III to that point by winning at the Invitational in three minutes, 15.5 seconds.
Kuipers got second place, with his best vault was measured at 16 feet, 4¾ inches. That effort ranked No. 7 in Division III.
