Julie Wessler, an assistant swimming coach at Lewis University, will join the coaching staff for USA Swimming's Open Water Select Camp, the university's website reported recently.
Wessler, who is in her first year as an assistant at Lewis, will be an assistant coach during the camp, set for June 6-10 in Fort Myers, Florida.
Wessler was an NCAA Division II All-American in 2015 and team captain at Wingate University in North Carolina. She also has competed internationally as part of the European Cup championships in 2009 in Croatia and the Junior European Championships in 2008 in France, as well as events in Germany, where she has records in the 4x50-meter medley and the 25K.
Wessler has a master's degree in sports management from Wingate.
