Naperville incumbent urges one last push

Coyne naperville

With only a few days to go before elections, Kevin Coyne took to Facebook to invite supporters to join “one more big canvassing push” and thank them for their efforts. Coyne is running for re-election to the Naperville City Council.

"Thank you everyone for the support our campaign has received,” Coyne posted. “I am fully committed to continuing work toward real estate tax reduction, reducing the cost of government, and to keeping Naperville the safest city of its size in America!”

Coyne listed a number of prominent local organizations that have endorsed him.

“The Naperville Chamber PAC, the Naperville Daily Herald, and a tremendous list of elected officials and business and not-for-profit leaders have honored us with their public support,” he said.

The Illinois Realtors association even mailed postcards to Naperville voters urging them to vote for Coyne.

As for his own voting preference, Coyne said he’s learned that voting early can be quick and painless.

“We urge everyone to get out there and vote early!" Coyne posted. “[We were] in and out in under 5 minutes. That's how long it took Kim and I to early vote at City Hall. We highly encourage our supporters to take advantage of early voting!”
