With a few days to go, Will County Republicans are hitting voters where it can hurt: their homes.
“This is your chance to vote for the elected officials who will determine the amount of property taxes you will be paying each year for the next several years,” the Will County Republican Central Committee (WCRCC) said recently.
But the party is looking for more than a push at the polls. Volunteers are also needed during voting, which will take place on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The party says volunteering during local elections is a way to both give back and learn. Better yet, Will County election officials are able to accommodate individuals’ needs by offering one-day or partial-day time blocks. Those interested can email contact@willcountyrepublicans.org or leave a message at 630-207-8160.
The GOP also wants to fill a vacancy on Will County Board District 6. Interested parties can contact WCRCC Chairman Kathy Havel at wcrccchairman@gmail.com.
Additionally, Will County’s election department is in need of Republican election judges in the townships of Custer, Wesley, Reed, Florence and Wilmington. For more information and to apply, go to http://www.thewillcountyclerk.com/elections/elections-services/election-judges/.
Area veterans are being asked to contact the WCRCC’s representative veteran Rick at 630-207-8160 or email contact@willcountyrepublicans.org with contact information, including full name, email, phone number, branch, length of service, rank and conflict served (if applicable).
The Will County Republican Central Committee (WCRCC) reminds constituents that for additional details, contact information for questions, and information about other local Republican events, see its calendar at: http://willcountyrepublicans.org/calendar.
