V. COMMENTS BY CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Chief Operating Officer Schultz distributed a packet of information to all Commissioners

including the District's "Green Book," 2017 calendar, calendar of events for winter 2017,

and the District's Administrative Work Plan for 2017-2018.

Schultz stated that the District will host WaterWays, a traveling exhibit sponsored by the

Smithsonian Institution and Illinois Humanities, at Four Rivers Environmental Education

Center for six weeks, January 28-March 11.

Chief Financial Officer Gerl distributed copies of the District's 2016 Budget handbook.

W. APPOINTMENTS/COMMENTS BY PRESIDENT

President Hart stated that the Board of Commissioners Organizational Rules provide that

the President of the Forest Preserve District shall make various appointments with the

advice and consent of the Board as follows:

1. Appointment of Commissioner Kraulidis to Replace Commissioner Maher on the

Finance Committee

President Hart recommended the appointment of Commissioner Kraulidis to replace

Commissioner Maher on the Finance Committee.
