The Lewis University softball and men's golf programs have welcomed one new player each, according to www.lewisflyers.com.
Morgan Weber, a star shortstop for Kaneland High School in Maple Park, signed a letter of intent to join the Flyers softball program in 2018. Weber batted .436 with 10 home runs last season, with a total of 19 home runs over the last three seasons.
Additionally, Weber was a key part of Kaneland's run to third place at the Illinois High School Association State Championships, hitting .301 with three homers.
For the Lewis men's golf program, Jack Kamentz, of Dubuque Wahlert Catholic High School, will join the Flyers starting this fall. As a senior, he was an All-Iowa Mississippi Valley Conference First Team selection, while also earning placement on the league's All-Academic Team -- and being named his team's MVP.
