City of Joliet Finance Committee met Sept. 16.

ALSO PRESENT: Kevin Sing - Director of Finance, Kathy Franson - Director of Human Resource, Paulina Martinez - Director of Economic Development, Ashton Harnung and Bobby Dufkis of the Marsh McLennan Agency.

A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to approve the Minutes for August 19, 2025.

Property, Liability, Workers Compensation Insurance Renewal

Kevin Sing, Director of Finance - presented TMP-8962 concerning the Property, Liability, Workers Compensation Insurance Renewal. A brief discussion was held.

Ordinance Authorizing an Amendment to the Annual Budget of the City of Joliet for the 2025 Fiscal Year

Mr. Sing presented TMP-9005 concerning the Ordinance Authorizing an Amendment to the Annual Budget of the City of Joliet for the 2025 Fiscal Year. No further discussion was held.

Group Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Renewal for active employees

Mr. Sing introduced representatives Ashton Harnung and Bobby Dufkis of the Marsh McLennan Agency, and presented TMP-9012 regarding the Group Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Renewal for active employees. A brief discussion was held.

Resolution Authorizing Certain Employees for the City of Joliet to Sign Checks, Vouchers and Warrants to the Disbursement of City Funds

Mr. Sing presented TMP-9015 regarding the Resolution Authorizing Certain Employees for the City of Joliet to Sign Checks, Vouchers and Warrants to the Disbursement of City Funds, due to the promotion of Nicole Hughes to Deputy City Clerk. No further discussion was held.

REPORTS:

Mr. Sing gave an overview of TMP-8989 on the Monthly Financial Report, Invoice Exceptions and the Quarterly Report for the Joliet Public Library. No further discussion was held.

Mr. Sing gave a brief overview on TMP-8990 for the Travel Expense Report. No further discussion was held.

Kathy Franson, Director of Human Resource - gave an overview of TMP-8991 regarding the Position Summary Report for employment positions currently open within the City of Joliet and the Local 440 Union. No further discussion was held.
