Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees met Sept. 8.

CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL
Mayor Keith Ogle called the regular meeting of the Frankfort Village Board to order on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the Village Administration Building, 432 W. Nebraska Street, Frankfort, Illinois.
Village Clerk Katie Schubert called the roll. In attendance were Mayor Keith Ogle, Clerk Katie Schubert, Trustees Adam Borrelli, Michael Leddin, Maura Rigoni, and Dan Rossi. Also in attendance were Attorney Hannah Lamore, Village Administrator Rob Piscia, Assistant Village Administrator John Burica, and Police Chief Leanne Chelepis. Trustees Jessica Petrow and Gene Savaria were absent.
Clerk Schubert announced a quorum of the public body was present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Ogle led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
APPROVAL OF SPECIAL ORDERS - UNANIMOUS CONSENT AGENDA
All items on the Omnibus Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and are enacted in one motion. There is no separate discussion of these items unless a board member makes a request, in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.
A. Approval of Minutes
1. Regular Meeting (August 18, 2025)
B. Approval of Bills - $1 ,426,582.92
Trustee Borrelli moved, seconded by Trustee Rigoni, to approve the Unanimous Consent Agenda.
Following a motion to approve, Trustee Rossi presented a brief overview of the consent agenda docket items under consideration for approval.
Clerk Schubert called the roll. Ayes: Trustees Borrelli, Leddin, Rigoni, and Rossi. Nays: None. Absent: Trustees Petrow and Savaria. The motion carried.
1- MAYOR'S REPORT
• Mayor Ogle entertained a motion from the floor to support "See Tracks? Think Train" week with a proclamation.
Trustee Leddin moved, seconded by Trustee Borrelli, to approve the Proclamation declaring September 15 through September 21, 2025, as "See Tracks? Think Train" week in the Village of Frankfort. A voice vote was taken. All were in favor. The motion carried.
• Mayor Ogle reported Cruisin' Frankfort will end its 2025 season on Monday, September 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Mayor Ogle announced that the Frankfort Country Market continues every Sunday in downtown Frankfort through October 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m. He invited the community to join the Frankfort Police Department for "Country Market with a Cop" on Sunday, September 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 11 :30 a.m. This family-friendly event offers residents an opportunity to meet the men and women of the Frankfort Police Department.
• Mayor Ogle reported that the Village participates in a "Prescription Drug Take Back Program." He encouraged residents to safely dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medications in the designated drop box located at the Frankfort Police Station, emphasizing the importance of proper disposal in protecting the community's water supply.
• Mayor Ogle reminded residents that year-round electronic recycling is available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Frankfort Township Building, 11000 W. Lincoln Highway.
BOARD COMMENTS
Clerk Schubert announced that the next Village Board meeting 1s scheduled for Monday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall.
The Village Board commended the Police Department, Fire District, Village staff, and all volunteers for their contributions to Fall Fest, recognizing their efforts for a job well done.
OTHER BUSINESS
There were no other items of business.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Kim Cristelli expressed appreciation to the Village for researching the potential transition to Lake Michigan water and inquired further with several questions regarding the matter.
ADJOURNMENT
Hearing no further business, Mayor Ogle called for a motion to adjourn. Trustee Borrelli moved, seconded by Trustee Rossi, to adjourn the regular board meeting of Monday, September 8, 2025. A voice vote was taken. All were in favor. The motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
