Nalcrest Village, Lake Wales, Florida - Robert “Bob” Gerard Bryg, 68, passed away on August 18, 2025 at his residence in Nalcrest Village, Lake Wales, Florida. Born on October 7, 1956, in Chicago to the late Dorothy and Ted Bryg, Bob grew up on the Southwest Side of Chicago with his late sibling, Kenneth. After graduating, he worked at a local grocery store before relocating to California in 1980. Bob enjoyed a long career as a postal carrier in California, where he also pursued his passion for sports, especially as a fan of the Bears and White Sox. He was known for his sports memorabilia collection and his love of travel, including participating in a choral group that performed in Spain.

Bob is survived by his cousins and loyal friends in California and Illinois. A celebration of his life will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL, on September 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bryg Family Burial site in Section 66.
