Roger D. Brown, Sr., 79, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Survived by wife Betty McCure, children Richard Brown, Barb Backhus, Matthew McCure, Scott McCure, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Lucy Brown, first wife Pauline Brown, sons Roger Dale Brown Jr., Ronald D. Brown, granddaughter Kendal Brown, siblings.

A proud U.S. Navy Veteran and Vietnam War veteran, Roger dedicated his life to service, working at various positions and owning "B & D Construction." Known for his love of gardening, cooking, and fishing, he quickly became a beloved neighbor in New Lenox. Remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend, Roger will be deeply missed.

Memorial visitation on September 3, 2025, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan. Funeral service at 1:00 p.m., followed by committal service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home.
