Plainfield, IL - Arthur R. Heider, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. He was an avid collector of coins, knives, flashlights, Lionel and model trains, and DVDs, and a loyal Chicago sports fan. Arthur was known for his love of dogs, passion for family photography, and as the rock of the family, described as a big teddy bear.

Arthur is survived by his devoted children Arthur, Chris, Suzanne, and Tracy; cherished grandchildren Teresa, Cecilia, Victoria, Liliana, Gage, Kierstin, Abigail, Grace, Ella, Evan, Jackson, Wyatt, Callista, and Eloise; treasured great-grandchildren Adelina, Melody, and William; dear siblings Donna, Denise, and Gregory; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in passing by his beloved wife Suzie, parents Arthur and Jean, and brothers Jerome and Robert.

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544. Inurnment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
