Nicholas John Araujo, fondly referred to as Nick, of Mokena, IL, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 29 on August 19, 2025. He is survived by his parents John and Peggy Araujo, siblings Kelly, Tony, Joe, and Abby, along with nieces, nephews, and his soulmate Gabbie Liskovec.

Nick was praised for his ability to make others feel valued, his sense of humor, and his kind-hearted nature. Described as loyal and caring, he was known for his culinary skills and his passion for cooking for his loved ones.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Nick will be hosted by his family on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the New Lenox VFW Post 9545. Arrangements are entrusted to Forsythe Gould Funeral Home in Manhattan, IL. Flowers may be sent to the family or a tree planted in memory of Nicholas.
