Crest Hill residents are being asked to participate in a questionnaire aimed at improving transportation in the community and across northeastern Illinois. The survey is part of the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning’s (CMAP) efforts to develop the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan.

According to CMAP, feedback from the public will be used to guide planning decisions as they collaborate with transportation partners throughout the region. “How would you improve transportation in our community and across northeastern Illinois? The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) wants your input as they — and transportation partners across the region — shape the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan. Please share your experiences and ideas in this short questionnaire: cmap.is/rtp,” CMAP stated.

The agency expects to complete work on the plan by October 2026. Residents can stay updated on developments by subscribing to CMAP’s transportation newsletter.

For questions regarding participation or additional information, Laura Hatt, Analyst for Regional Policy and Implementation at CMAP, is available for contact. “If you have any questions on this request, please don’t hesitate to reach out Laura Hatt,” she said.

Laura Hatt can be reached at lhatt@cmap.illinois.gov or by phone at 312-386-8643.
