The Village of Romeoville will host the Vietnam War Traveling Memorial Wall from August 21 to August 24, 2025. The event will begin with a parade at 9:30 a.m. on August 21, starting from the Romeoville Athletic Center on Route 53 and proceeding to the Village Hall show site.

The Virtual Wall features memorial pages for the more than 58,000 women and men whose names are inscribed on "The Wall," honoring those who died in service during the Vietnam War. The original Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., was built through private donations gathered by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. The memorial was dedicated in 1982 and completed in 1984. Since then, it has been managed by the U.S. National Park Service and belongs to all Americans.

Among those honored is Lance Corporal William Joseph Brencich from Crest Hill, Illinois. He served in the United States Marine Corps from May 16, 1948 until his death on February 28, 1969. His name appears on Panel w31 / Line 88 of The Wall.
