James E. Barr, 87, of Frankfort, IL, passed away on July 31, 2025 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Survived by his wife Kathleen Barr; children Jayme Spitzer, Lisa Huguelet, JoAnn Conover, and Jeremy Leonard; sister Anita Wies; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. James was known for his strong convictions, love for the outdoors, and devotion to family. A craftsman, avid golfer, and puzzle enthusiast, he cherished sharing adventures and hobbies with his grandchildren, instilling in them a spirit of discovery. His marriage to Kathleen was marked by laughter, resilience, and exploration of America. Services will be held at St. Mary Mokena, with visitation on August 5, 2025, and Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Orland Park. Flowers or memorial trees can be sent in memory of James E. Barr.
