Frankfort - Nete Gjergji, 86, of Frankfort, passed away surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Lash and the loving mother of Violeta (Arben) Hoxha, Veronika (Pirro) Simo, Rita Gjergji, and Adrian (Alkeda) Gjergji. Nete was a devoted grandmother to Gersi (Erin) Hoxha, Besjana Hoxha, Christian Hoxha, Simone Simo, and Alessio Simo. She was the cherished daughter of the late Kin and Lula Pemaj and the dear sister of Hila (the late Vitore) Pemaj, the late Vitore (the late Laser) Gjekaj, Taze (the late Gac) Lukaj, Age (the late Filip) Dakaj, and Shtjefen (the late Lula) Pemaj.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, at 11:00 a.m. at the Richard J. Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 12641 W. 143rd St, Homer Glen. The interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Originally from Albania, Nete worked in culinary before moving to the United States in 2007. She achieved citizenship in 2024 and proudly called America her home.
