Thomas J. Cowfer | Kurtz Memorial Chapel
Thomas J. Cowfer, 82, of Joliet, formerly of Frankfort, passed away at his home on July 27, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Cowfer (Anselmino), daughter Patricia "Patty" Fitzgerald, and grandchildren Amanda Cowfer Chavez and Robert Fitzgerald. Thomas was a United States Air Force Veteran and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort. He also worked as a Bus Driver for Lincoln Way Community High School. The visitation and funeral service will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort on August 16, 2025, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM and the service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project are appreciated.
